It is with great sadness that I am to inform you of the death of Terry Jones on Thursday 18th January 2018. Terry had been battling cancer for quite some time and became very ill last Sunday. Penny, Kate & Lucy were all with him when he passed. Terry was a long standing member of the Blackdown Radio Control Club and will be sorely missed by many past and present. Terry joined the club around 1990 and was always an active member of club activities, especially the bring and show events where terry was known for building unordinary models.

Terry had a keen interest in scale models and was often seen judging the Wessex Scale League round held at Blackdown.

For those of you that had the pleasure of speaking with Terry, you would know he was always full of stories from the time he spent in the RAF. Everything from flying various jet and piston aircraft to flying English Electric Canberra's low level on reconnaissance close to hostile boarders.

The funeral of Terry Jones will take place on Friday the 9th February at the East Devon Crematorium - 13:45pm. We pass on our condolences as a club to Terry's family at this difficult time.
